The northern Baa Atoll is a particularly great example of conservation and was declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 2011.
Swimming amongst the feeding aggregations of manta rays and whale sharks at Hanifaru Bay is one of the most exciting and mind-blowing thing you can do. It is the largest known aggregation of Manta Rays in the world!! We will go snorkelling alongside them as they barrel-rolling and ‘fly’ in formation through the dense plankton - a behaviour that has become known as cyclone feeding.

Arrival to Maldives and turtles!
Arrival day! You will take a speedboat to Maafushi as we will be spending the first night here.
We will head out in search of turtles & corals today too and have a group dinner!

Maafushi to Hanifaru Bay - Mantas & Whaleshark
We will be heading Hanifaru bay on our beautiful Kandu boat in the morning and checking in to the most incredible hotel!
We will be on call and check for mantas in the bay.
We will search for the phenomenon of the whale shark at night!

We will be searching for mantas and be snorkelling during the aggregation.
We will have a picnic at uninhabited island.

We will be heading out in search of dolphins to swim with them!
Then we will go to see the sharks and share the water with them.
We will have lunch in a remote sandbank.

It is a requirement to be able to know how to swim in the ocean!
Please remember this is an ocean safari!
You do not have to be a scuba-diver nor a free-diver, you just need to know how to swim!!

In all our trips, each room has 2 people!
If you are coming with your partner / friend, then you will be put in the same room together!
If you are travelling solo, you will be put with another solo traveller of your same gender!
Rooms alone can always be requested at an extra price.
